The Sokoto State Governor, Dr. Ahmad Aliyu Sokoto, PhD, FCNA, FNCS, has initiated the distribution of relief items to vulnerable residents in Sokoto State. This effort is part of a series of initiatives aimed at supporting the state’s less privileged during the holy month of Ramadan.

“With the generosity of esteemed donors, we are providing foodstuffs, financial assistance, and motorcycles to those in need,” the governor stated.

To further alleviate food scarcity, the government has introduced the sale of subsidized rice at ₦48,000 per 50kg bag for residents. This measure aims to make essential commodities more accessible and affordable, reflecting the administration’s dedication to reducing hardship.
