Governor Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto, PhD, FCNA, has sworn-in five Permanent Secretaries into the state civil service. The appointees are as follows:
- Hadiza Sahabi Jaredi Esq.
- Maryam Ahmad Barade
- Muhammad Idris
- Abubakar S/Fada Tambuwal
- Muhammad Bello Ibrahim
In his address, the governor urged them to bring fresh ideas and uphold high ethical standards, emphasizing that their appointments were based on merit and proven track records. He stressed the administration’s zero-tolerance for corruption, advising them to prioritize due process and integrity in their roles.
Aliyu also highlighted his administration’s commitment to civil servants, including prompt salary payments and additional benefits, urging the workforce to reciprocate with dedication, punctuality, and commitment. He described civil servants as key to the success of his administration’s Nine-Point Smart Agenda.
