NITDA Assures Support Towards Sokoto Digital Drive

The delegation from the Ministry of Innovation and Digital Economy (MIDE), led by the Honourable Commissioner, Bashar Umar Kwabo, visited the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) to strengthen collaboration and advance Sokoto State’s digital transformation agenda under the administration of Governor Dr. Ahmad Aliyu Sokoto.

During the visit, Hon. Kwabo and his team engaged with NITDA Director-General, Dr. Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, on key areas of mutual interest, including digital skills development, ICT infrastructure expansion, support for startups, and alignment with national digital initiatives.

The Commissioner emphasized the State Government’s commitment to building a modern, tech-driven economy, highlighting the importance of strong partnerships with federal agencies to accelerate digital reforms, improve service delivery, and empower youth across the State.

In response, NITDA assured the Sokoto delegation of its continued support, pledging technical guidance, capacity-building programs, and partnership opportunities to help realize the State’s digital transformation goals.

The visit highlighted Sokoto State Government’s dedication to strategic collaborations that drive sustainable digital growth and position the State as a competitive hub for technology and innovation.
