The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria is the traditional Guest of Honour in the program. The Honourable Minister FMCIDE, Dr Bosun Tijani, as the Chief Host, declared the event open while the Director General NITDA, Mr Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, as the custodian’ of the program made the opening remarks.

The SOSG delegation is being led by the Commissioner, Ministry of Innovation and Digital Economy (MIDE), Sokoto State, Honourable Bashar Umar Kwabo AA, accompanied by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Dr Nasir Daniya and other participants drawn from the public and private sector.

Interestingly, Sokoto State is the only state where a Commissioner and Permanent Secretary were selected as speakers to the event. Mr Kwabo therefore appreciated such a unique gesture offered to the ‘Seat of the Caliphate’, and assured the Federal Government that, the Governor, Dr Ahmad Aliyu of Sokoto State is willing to continue providing all the needed support and cooperation to ensure rapid development of the Digital-Economic sector in Sokoto State.

Participants from across the globe graced the 3-day conference, which provides massive opportunities for networking, partnerships and collaborations.
