SOSG-BFIA To Collaborates On Tech Skills Acquisition
The Sokoto State Government, through the Ministry of Innovation and Digital Economy, actively participated in Brilliant Footsteps International Academy’s End-of-Term Skills Acquisition Exhibition 1.0.
Dr. Nasir Daniya, the Permanent Secretary of MIDE, led a delegation warmly welcomed by BFIA nursery pupils’ delightful performance before the exhibition commenced.
The showcase featured diverse skills such as tailoring, cooking & catering, leatherworks, and basic ICT computer skills. These activities not only imparted fundamental knowledge but also ignited passion, laying a foundation for students’ skills development.
Dr. Daniya expressed gratitude for the invitation and commended BFIA for integrating the Skill Acquisition program into student extracurricular activities. He emphasized the pivotal role of the tech industry, advocating for the inclusion of females in ICT acquisition classes. Pledging the ministry’s support, Dr. Daniya assured the commitment of his Ministry to complementing both federal and state governments’ efforts in fostering ICT Skills Development in Sokoto State and Nigeria.
This collaboration aims to enhance skills acquisition and foster innovation, aligning with the State Government’s job creation initiatives. It signifies a significant step towards a future where skills acquisition and innovation go hand in hand, creating opportunities for citizens and contributing to the state’s growth.
The Permanent Secretary, attended the exhibition alongside some Heads of Units from the ICT Directorate. Parents of BFIA students were also present at the event.
