“You Didn’t Disappoint Us,” Says Ex-Military Administrator

Former Military Administrator of Sokoto State, Navy Captain Abdulrasheed Adisa Raji (rtd), has commended Governor Ahmed Aliyu for not disappointing the people of Sokoto State who massively voted him into office.

Captain Raji made the remark while receiving a souvenir from Governor Aliyu shortly after commissioning a 14-kilometre rural road project in Gwadabawa Local Government Area.

He expressed satisfaction with the rapid transformation and people-oriented projects being executed across the state under Governor Aliyu’s leadership and urged him to sustain the tempo of development.

“You have moved Sokoto from step four to step eight. I’m sure very soon it will reach step ten,” Raji said.

“I’m particularly impressed with the urban renewal initiative taking place from the airport up to the city centre,” he added.

The retired naval officer emphasized the importance of policy continuity in governance so that citizens could continue to benefit from government programmes and projects.

Raji also appealed to the people of the state to continue supporting Governor Ahmed Aliyu in order to enjoy more dividends of democracy.

He commended the leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state, Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, for his immense contributions to national development.

“Senator Wamakko is a good man. I pray that Almighty Allah continues to elevate him, grant him good health, and increase him in wisdom,” he said.

Earlier in his remarks, Governor Ahmed Aliyu described the former military administrator as a patriotic Nigerian who served the country with dedication and sacrifice.

He thanked him for honouring the state’s invitation to commission a project that has a direct impact on the lives of the people of Sokoto State.

The Governor prayed to Almighty Allah to continue to guide and protect the retired naval officer and grant him good health.
