Sokoto Poised to Turn Waste Into Wealth-MIDE Commissioner

The Sokoto State Government, through the Ministry of Innovation and Digital Economy (MIDE), received Biofil Technology Limited Nigeria on a courtesy visit to discuss innovative waste management and sustainable technology solutions.

During the meeting, Mr. Bukum Taiwo, CEO of Biofil Technology, alongside Rita Okhuarobo, Head of Sustainability and Innovation, explained that the company specializes in transforming waste into valuable resources. Responding, Hon. Bashar Umar Kwabo, Commissioner for Innovation and Digital Economy, commended Biofil Technology for their foresight and innovative vision. He noted that the initiative aligns with the priorities of Governor Dr. Ahmad Aliyu Sokoto’s administration and emphasized the government’s commitment to training and equipping youth to excel in emerging technologies and innovation.

Hon. Kwabo also added that the Ministry will pay a return visit to Biofil Technology’s facilities to explore further areas of collaboration, reaffirming Sokoto State’s support for green and tech-driven solutions.
