
The Ministry of Innovation and Digital Economy (MIDE) paid a congratulatory visit led by the Honourable Commissioner, Hon. Bashar Umar Kwabo, to felicitate with the Permanent Secretary, Dr. Nasir Daniya, Ph.D, mni, on his successful graduation from the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru, and his conferment as the prestigious Member of the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (mni).
The visit was aimed at celebrating the Permanent Secretary’s outstanding academic and professional achievements, which are widely recognised as a significant milestone in strategic leadership, policy formulation, and public service at the national level.
Speaking during the visit, the Commissioner congratulated Dr. Nasir Daniya, mni on the well-deserved honour, describing the mni title is a testament to his dedication, discipline, and commitment to national development. He noted that the achievement would further strengthen the Ministry’s leadership capacity in driving innovation, digital governance, and ICT-led transformation in Sokoto State.
“As we celebrate this remarkable achievement, we pray that Almighty Allah continues to guide and grant you greater wisdom and strength, and to make your accomplishments beneficial to the Muslim Ummah, Sokoto State, and the nation at large,” Hon. Kwabo added.
In his response, the Permanent Secretary expressed profound appreciation to the Honourable Commissioner and staff of the Ministry for the show of solidarity and goodwill. He reaffirmed his commitment to supporting the Ministry’s mandate and to working collaboratively to advance digital transformation initiatives and improve service delivery across the State.
Dr. Daniya also acknowledged the support and encouragement of his family, as well as the backing of their Excellencies, President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the nomination and the Governor of Sokoto State, Dr. Ahmad Aliyu Sokoto for creating an enabling environment that promotes capacity building, strategic leadership, and institutional development within the public service.
Also present at the occasion was the Sokoto State Coordinator of the AGILE Program, Dr. Mansur Isah Buhari, who extended his goodwill message, congratulating the Permanent Secretary on the well-deserved national recognition and wishing him continued success in service to the State and the nation.
In separate remarks, Directors of the Ministry, Dr Anas Tukur Balarabe and Murtala Nuhu commended the Permanent Secretary for his exemplary leadership, dedication to duty, and commitment to institutional growth. They offered prayers for Allah’s continued guidance, good health and greater success in his service to the State and the nation. Presentation of plaques, banners and graduation cake was unveiled by the celebrant and his family alongside the Ministry’s delegation.
The visit further reinforced the shared commitment of the Ministry’s leadership and staff to sustaining innovation-driven governance, policy excellence, and effective service delivery in Sokoto State.
The occasion was attended by Directors and Heads of Units from both the Ministry and the Sokoto Information and Communications Technology Development Agency (SICTDA), who joined in congratulating the Permanent Secretary on the distinguished national recognition. That makes him an automatic member of the prestigious Alumni Association of the National Institute (AANI).
