Sokoto Gov. Mourns Sirajo Sifawa, Condoles Other Bereaved Families

The Sokoto State Governor, Dr Ahmad Aliyu Sokoto has condoled the family of the late Sirajo Dalhatu Sifawa of Rima Television, Sokoto, who passed away in the early hours of today.

Late Sirajo Sifawa died at the age of 48 after a protracted illness and is survived by two wives and eight children.

The Governor also condoled the family over the death of Alhaji Dalhatu Alkali Sifawa, father of the late Sirajo, who passed away three weeks earlier.

Alhaji Dalhatu Alkali Sifawa died at the age of 79 and is survived by three wives and 23 children.

Governor Aliyu prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive the deceased, grant them Jannatul Firdaus, and comfort their bereaved families.

The Governor further condoled the family of the late Hajiya Hassana Umar Rugi of the Marina area, who passed away last Monday at the age of 90 and is survived by four children.

He also visited Kanwuri area, where he condoled the family of the late Hamza Abdullahi, aged 40.

Other families visited by the Governor include those of the late Sabiru Aminu Ibrahim, aged 22, of Gidan Haki area, popularly known as Mai Takalmi, and the late Halimatu Bello of Gidadawa area, who died at the age of 25.

At all the places visited, special prayers were offered for the repose of the souls of the departed.

The Governor was accompanied on the visits by former Deputy Governor, Barrister Mukhtar Shagari; Speaker, Sokoto State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Tukur Bala Bodinga; Deputy Speaker, Hon. Kabir Ibrahim Kware; House Leader, Hon. Bello Idris; some members of the legislature, commissioners, special advisers, senior special assistants, and other political office holders.
