
The Sokoto State Pilgrims Welfare Agency (PWA) has announced the revised Hajj fare for intending pilgrims from the state for the 2026 Hajj exercise.
The new fare, communicated by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), comes with an updated payment deadline that all pilgrims are required to observe.
Alhaji Aliyu Musa, Chairman of the Sokoto State Pilgrims Welfare Agency, confirmed the revised fare following a meeting with chief executives of state pilgrims welfare agencies, boards, and commissions in Makkah, Saudi Arabia.
The revised Hajj fare for Sokoto pilgrims is N7,696,769.76 (Seven Million, Six Hundred Ninety-Six Thousand, Seven Hundred Sixty-Nine Naira, Seventy-Six Kobo).
“The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria officially announced this new fare during our meeting in Makkah,” Alhaji Musa said. “In view of this development, a new deadline for the payment of all Hajj fares has been fixed for December 5, 2025.”
He urged all intending pilgrims to complete their payments promptly to secure their spots for the 2026 Hajj.
Alhaji Musa reassured the public that the Sokoto State Pilgrims Welfare Agency remains committed to facilitating a smooth and successful pilgrimage for all citizens.
“On its part, the Sokoto State Pilgrims Welfare Agency is doing everything possible to ensure a hitch-free Hajj exercise,” he added.
Intending pilgrims are advised to make payments at designated bank branches or at the agency’s headquarters.
