Illela Local Government Area is situated in the town of illela, as the council area consists districts of Damba, Araba, Darna Sabon-Gari, Garu, Kalmalo, Darna Tsolawo, Tozai, Illela, Gidan Katta, Gidan Hamma and Rungumawan Gatti.
