
The Sokoto State Governor, Dr. Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of renowned Kano-based business industrialist, Alhaji Aminu Dantata, describing his death as a national loss.
Governor Aliyu noted that the late Dantata was not only a pillar of Kano’s business community but also a highly respected figure whose impact extended across Nigeria.
“The late Alhaji Aminu Dantata contributed immensely to the development of Nigeria and humanity at large,” the Governor stated.
“He will always be remembered for his philanthropy, honesty, and sincerity.”
He further described Dantata as a deeply religious, humble, and pious individual who devoted his life to the service of others.
The Governor added that the late industrialist played a significant role in shaping Nigeria’s economy over several decades, leaving behind a legacy admired and respected nationwide.
On behalf of the government and people of Sokoto State, Governor Aliyu extended heartfelt condolences to the government and people of Kano State, as well as to the immediate family of the deceased. He prayed to Almighty Allah to grant Alhaji Aminu Dantata eternal rest, admit him into the best part of Paradise, and comfort his loved ones during this period of mourning.
