Governor Aliyu Launched Ministerial Briefing for MDAs in Sokoto.

In commemoration of the one-year anniversary of Governor Dr. Ahmad Aliyu Sokoto PhD, FCNA’s administration, Ministerial briefing was jointly organized by the Ministry of Information and Orientation and the Ministry of Innovation and Digital Economy. Held at the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) office in Sokoto State, the event aimed to highlight significant achievements and future plans.

The briefing began with an opening address by the Honorable Commissioner of Information and Orientation, Sambo Bello Danchadi, who welcomed the press and lauded the unprecedented achievements of Governor Ahmad Aliyu’s administration. He assured that more development initiatives are forthcoming. He emphasized the importance of the press briefing in allowing Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) to share the administration’s progress, achievements and challenges.

The ministerial briefing commenced with the Office of the Special Adviser on Security Matters. Colonel Abdul Usman (rtd), the S.A provided an overview of the administration’s accomplishments in the security sector. These initiatives included settling outstanding payments and increasing allowances for security personnel, establishing community guards, procuring 40 Toyota Hilux vehicles and 750 motorcycles to enhance security logistics, and fostering collaboration with security agencies to improve safety across the state.

In his closing remarks, Dalhatu Abdullahi, Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), expressed gratitude to the two ministries for organizing the event and emphasized the importance of accurate data and information for journalists and public consumption.

The briefing not only celebrated the administration’s accomplishments but also emphasized its commitment to transparency and continued development for the benefit of the Government and the people of Sokoto State.
