SOKOTO MINISTRY OF TECHNOLOGY AND DIGITAL ECONOMY INSPECTS CALIPH-AGRO TECHNOLOGIES FACILITIES

As part of it’s effort to fast-track digital inclusion across the State, the Sokoto State Government (SOSG) through the Ministry of Technology and Digital Economy (MTDE) on Tuesday paid an inspection visit to the Caliph Agro Technologies, an IT-Driven Agro-Health Solutions Company with Head Office in the State.

The Chairman of the Company Abdulmuminu Garba Buda, briefed the delegation, which was led by the Permanent Secretary (PS) of the MTDE, Dr Nasir Daniya on the business activities of the Company.

According to him, his company use modern technologies such as sophisticated drones to provide data driven solutions in Agriculture and other key sectors of the economy.

In his remarks, the PS said the purpose of the visit was to inspect their facilities and know more about the company’s capacities that could be utilised for the development of the State.

Mr Buda thanked the SOSG for it’s keen commitment in identifying rightful partners to complement the efforts of the SOSG for the integration and deployment of advanced technologies across the public sector for the overall interest of the state.

The inspection was attended by the Heads of Units (HoUs) of the ICT Directorate, officials of the MTDE and other members of the Caliph-Agro Technologies team.
